The summer baskets were taken down in September as the volunteers cannot be expected to water in the dark!
The containers and other areas in the town have now been planted up with autumn bedding plants
so that our town still looks floral during the winter months.
We will be planting more crocuses on the grassed area on Ainsty Road
as well as crocuses on the Millennium Field Walkway,
It is worthwhile downloading a copy of our Floral Walk leaflet or obtain a hard copy
from the Wetherby Tourist Information Office in the Library on Westgate.
The Walk starts you off outside the Town Hall and takes about one hour and it also takes you
to some interesting places in town which you would not necessarily normally visit.

Commemorative Arch at Garden of Rest Entrance

In the middle of May this year volunteers from Wetherby in Bloom Committee
helped the manufacturer with the installation of a purpose-made arch
at the entrance to the Garden of Rest, opposite Boots.

This is dedicated to our late Chairman Geoff Humble
for his many years of dedication and hard work to enhance
the town with its beautiful floral displays.
A plaque has been fitted to the arch in memory of Geoff.
